Prussian carp

The Prussian carp appeared in the lake around 2010. It is a highly adaptable invasive species. It consumes zooplankton, including tiny crustaceans suspended in the water, thereby eliminating organisms that feed on algae and allowing the algae to proliferate. As a result, the lake’s colour changed from blue to green within just a few years.
